Today, I would like to introduce a case involving a female patient in her 20s who underwent both eye revision surgery and rhinoplasty.
Concerns
1. Although she had received incisional ptosis correction and epicanthoplasty at another clinic 4–5 years ago, the double eyelid lines had unraveled over time, and sagging eyelid skin created a heavy, stuffy appearance.
2. Regarding her nose, she was concerned about a short, upturned shape that made her nostrils overly visible.
👁 Incisional Double Eyelid (Revision) & Lateral/Lower Canthoplasty
I designed a new incision line tailored to her eyelid-opening strength and ocular structure while smoothing out previous scarring as naturally as possible.
- A clearer, more natural in-out line compared to before
- A refreshed eye shape expanded both horizontally and vertically through lateral and lower canthoplasty
- A soft yet sophisticated atmosphere without looking overdone
As a result, her eyes became much clearer and cleaner, brightening her entire facial expression.
👃 Short Nose Correction + Rib Cartilage Rhinoplasty
The concurrent rhinoplasty addressed a short, upturned nose where the nostrils were highly visible.
In such cases, simply raising the tip or the bridge can actually make the impression look awkward. Therefore, I approached the surgery by firmly building the tip support structure using rib cartilage.
- Improved nostril exposure by extending the length of the nasal tip
- A natural straight-semi-basal (jik-ban) line using septal and rib cartilage
- Sturdy support that prevents the tip shape from collapsing
💬 Post-operative Changes and Patient Feedback
The openness of the eyes and the balance of the eye shape have clearly changed.
After surgery, the bridge and tip of the nose transformed into a natural and sophisticated straight-semi-basal line, giving the entire impression a more high-end and soft feel.
The patient mentioned that she is extremely satisfied every time she looks in the mirror, and she often hears from those around her that her ‘impression has become sophisticated and beautiful.’ 😊
