Revision Rhinoplasty for Bulbous and Long Nose with Thick Skin
A case study of a 20s female patient undergoing revision rhinoplasty to correct a drooping, bulbous tip and long nose appearance despite having thick skin.

* Basic Information
# Female in her 20s
# Medical History: Previous rhinoplasty using an implant and donated costal cartilage
# Current Situation: ‘I know my skin is thick, but I want a slimmer look. The tip of my nose is gradually drooping, making it look long.’
* Consultation
# The patient visited us because she was dissatisfied with the shape after her previous surgery using an implant and donated costal cartilage.
# The nasal tip is gradually drooping and looks blunt. We planned to create a more satisfying nose line through bulbous nose correction and long nose correction.
* Plan
# Bridge Rhinoplasty
- Implant replacement
# Tip Rhinoplasty
- Long nose & bulbous nose correction

* Post-operative Progress
1. Following the revision surgery, a more defined ‘straight-semi-curved’ (jik-ban) nasal tip line was achieved.
2. The patient was very satisfied as the tip was enhanced in a way that is both glamorous and natural, which also provided a more youthful appearance to the face.
3. While thick skin can limit the extent of bulbous nose improvement, the refined line resulted in a much more satisfying outcome!
