Hello :)
I am Dr. Young-moon Yoo, Director of VIBE Plastic Surgery.
Today, I would like to introduce a hump nose correction case for a Western female patient who visited our clinic from overseas.
I will show you the discomfort she experienced due to her nose and her transformed appearance after surgery.
Were you looking for a place that excels at hump nose correction?
This patient had been stressed for a long time due to a severe hump nose, which is a typical Western nasal shape.
- The protruding bridge made her profile look strong and sharp.
- Her overall facial impression appeared harsh and rigid.
- Furthermore, the internal nasal septum was deviated, making breathing uncomfortable.
In other words, it was a situation that required not only aesthetic improvement but also a solution for respiratory issues.
This is how the surgery was performed
At VIBE Plastic Surgery, we established a customized plan for this patient to address both beauty + function simultaneously.
- Hump Nose Correction – Naturally refined the protruding bridge to complete a smooth and sophisticated nasal line.
- Septoplasty – Corrected the deviated septum to secure a straight airway for breathing.
- Turbinate Reduction – Expanded the internal nasal space to improve airflow, making breathing feel cool and comfortable.
- Utilizing only Septal Cartilage – Since the patient’s septal cartilage was sufficiently developed, the basic axis of the nose was completed using only the septum without using ear or rib cartilage. To improve the unevenness of the bridge, dermis (Megaderm) was used for a smooth finish.
Advantages of Implant-Free Rhinoplasty
After the surgery, the patient felt a significant change in both appearance and function.
- ✔ Smooth and sophisticated straight nasal line → The entire face transformed to look softer and more feminine.
- ✔ Improved breathing → The previously blocked nose opened up, making breathing much more comfortable.
- ✔ Use of autologous tissue only → No implants mean a natural look and reduced concerns about side effects.
Most importantly, the patient expressed great satisfaction, saying, ‘I not only became prettier, but breathing is so much easier,’ which made us feel very rewarded.
Hump Nose Correction Before & After

Recommended for these individuals
- Those whose profile looks strong and sharp due to a hump nose.
- Those who feel discomfort in breathing or have a crooked nose.
- Those who want natural rhinoplasty using only autologous cartilage without implants.
- Those who want to improve function while enhancing facial harmony.
VIBE Plastic Surgery Rhinoplasty: Thinking about Function
Rhinoplasty is not simply a ‘surgery to make it pretty’; the breathing function must also be considered.
At VIBE Plastic Surgery,
We perform surgeries that simultaneously resolve functional issues such as deviated septum and turbinate hypertrophy, along with correcting various shapes like hump nose, crooked nose, long nose, and upturned nose.
That is why many patients feel satisfied, saying they have ‘become prettier and can breathe more easily.’
We will continue to provide customized rhinoplasty that considers the facial harmony and health of each individual patient.
😊 If you have similar concerns (hump nose, crooked nose, breathing discomfort, etc.), we recommend coming in for a consultation!
Consultations and surgeries should be performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon!
