Rhinoplasty Story of a Woman in Her 20s Stressed by a Bulbous Nose 💎 - VIBE Plastic Surgery

Lately, many people considering rhinoplasty are particularly stressed by a ‘bulbous nose’.

In the past, a bulbous nose was seen positively as a ‘bringer of good fortune,’ but by modern aesthetic standards, it can give a blunt and dull impression, leading many to seek improvement.

Today, I would like to introduce a surgical case of a woman in her 20s who was concerned about her low nasal bridge and bulbous nose. 😊

Basic Information 📝

Age: Woman in her 20s

Concerns: Stress caused by a low nasal bridge and a bulbous nose

Consultation Details ✨

At the time of her visit, the patient expressed concern that her bulbous nose gave her a stuffy and blunt appearance.

Through the consultation, we established the following improvement directions:

✅ Refine the tip of the nose to be slim and sophisticated

✅ Connect the bridge line naturally and higher to balance the face

✅ Improve the sunken columella (the pillar between the nostrils) to add dimension

✅ Adjust the wide-looking alae (nostril wings) through alar reduction for a slimmer look

Surgical Plan 🛠

1. Nasal Tip Surgery

Bulbous nose correction (sculpting and organizing skin and soft tissue)

Nasolabial angle correction (forming an ideal angle between the nose tip and lips)

Alar reduction (refining the wide nostril wing line)

2. Nasal Bridge Surgery

Silicone implant insertion (naturally elevating the bridge line)

Post-Surgical Changes 🌟

A bulbous nose can be caused by various factors.

1️⃣ Thick skin

2️⃣ Thick soft tissue, such as subcutaneous fat

3️⃣ Splayed nasal tip cartilage

Usually, these three factors act in combination, so correction tailored to each cause is necessary after an accurate analysis.

In this case, we appropriately sculpted the skin and soft tissue and gathered the cartilage to create a sturdy yet sharp nasal tip.

The nasolabial angle correction was particularly important; when this angle is well-defined, the nose tip looks more prominent and the entire face appears more sophisticated.

As the nasolabial angle was restored to an ideal state, the three-dimensionality of the face improved significantly, and the overall impression became much more refined and harmonious. 😍

I still remember the patient looking in the mirror after surgery and smiling, saying, ‘This is exactly the look I wanted!’

Summary 📝

✔ Improving a bulbous nose is not just about making it ‘thin,’ but about meticulous correction tailored to the cause.

✔ The harmony between the tip and bridge, along with delicate adjustment of the nasolabial angle, completes a sophisticated face.

✔ Customized surgery is required based on individual nose shape, skin thickness, and cartilage condition.
