A case study of a woman in her 20s who achieved a refined, sleek nose profile through bulbous nose correction and bridge augmentation after filler treatments failed to provide the desired results.
* Basic Information
- Female in her 20s
- Low nose bridge with a bulbous tip
- Decided on surgery after multiple filler treatments failed to improve the tip shape.
* Consultation
- The patient visited to correct her bulbous nose. While traditionally called a ‘lucky nose’ (Bok-ko) in Korea, many seek correction today because it can create a blunt or heavy impression.
- We determined that refining the nasal tip while raising and smoothing the bridge line would produce a satisfying result.
- The patient noted that while fillers could raise the bridge, they could not fully correct the bulbous appearance, leading her to choose surgery.

* Post-operative Progress
- Despite receiving dissolving injections a week before surgery, some filler remained inside the nose. Residual filler must be thoroughly removed to prevent future issues such as inflammation.
- The patient wanted to transition from a round, cute look to a more defined, sleek, and straight profile. I am pleased that the new nose shape complements her overall facial features perfectly. ^^
