* Post-operative Progress

1. The nasal septum was severely deviated, and the mucosal area called the inferior turbinate was hypertrophied. We corrected the deviated septum and improved the breathing aspect through inferior turbinate reduction.

2. While correcting the crooked nose, we achieved a natural straight-semi-out line from the bridge to the tip.

3. In cases where the septum is severely deviated, functional rhinoplasty can correct breathing discomfort. Catch two birds with one stone by addressing both aesthetic and functional aspects ^^

Frequently Asked Questions

Can rhinitis also be improved with crooked nose surgery?

Yes, it is possible. During crooked nose surgery, structural problems inside the nose, such as a deviated septum or enlarged inferior turbinates, can be corrected together to improve breathing difficulties caused by rhinitis. A surgical plan that considers both aesthetic and functional aspects simultaneously is important.

Can a bulbous nose and a hooked nose also be corrected along with a crooked nose?

Yes, it is possible. In the case study, a bulbous nose and a hooked nose were corrected along with a crooked nose to create a natural straight-to-upturned nose line. Multiple nose shape concerns can be resolved at once.

In what cases is functional nose surgery necessary?

Functional nose surgery is necessary when experiencing breathing difficulties due to rhinitis, or when there are functional problems due to structural issues inside the nose, such as a deviated septum or enlarged inferior turbinates. This surgery aims to normalize the function of the nose by resolving these problems.

How does the nose line change after surgery?

After surgery, a natural straight-to-upturned line can be achieved from the bridge of the nose to the tip. The case study also mentions that a refined straight-to-upturned nose line was created by correcting the crooked nose.

What are the possible side effects after surgery?

After surgery, various complications and side effects such as bleeding, inflammation, infection, and asymmetry may occur. These may vary depending on the individual, so it is important to consult sufficiently with a specialist before surgery and be aware of the precautions.
