Low Hump Nose and Bulbous Nose Correction
A case study of a 20-year-old female patient who underwent rhinoplasty to correct a low hump nose and a bulbous tip for a more refined appearance.

* Basic Information
# 20s Female
# Stressed due to a low nasal bridge combined with a bulbous nose.
* Consultation
# The patient visited to seek correction for a bulbous nose. While it was traditionally called a ‘lucky nose’ in the past, many people now wish to improve it because it can give a blunt or heavy impression.
# We expect a satisfying nose line by refining the tip to be slimmer while raising and smoothing the bridge line.
# The columella is quite retracted. Correcting the nasolabial angle through columella lengthening will likely create a more sophisticated look.
* Surgical Plan
# Tip Plasty (Bulbous nose correction, Columella lengthening)
# Rhinoplasty (Hump correction, Silicone implant, Osteotomy)

* Post-operative Findings
# There are several types of bulbous noses: 1. Thick skin 2. Thick soft tissue (subcutaneous fat, etc.) 3. Spread and wide cartilage.
# Since these factors usually occur in combination, it is best to correct each factor appropriately. This involves sculpting the skin and soft tissue to be thinner and refining the cartilage to create a sharp shape.
# Creating an ideal nasolabial angle through columella lengthening has resulted in a much more sophisticated appearance.
Consultations and surgeries should be performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon!
