The Principle of LipoSound

# ‘LipoSound’ can be understood as a device that uses ultrasound to emulsify fat. Because it liquefies fat particles—like turning orange pulp into juice—it offers several benefits:

1. It is much smoother – fat can be squeezed out like water without applying significant force, and it can be suctioned using only a small cannula. Therefore, there is much less irritation, leading to faster recovery from bruising and swelling. Consequently, ‘bio-bonds’ (post-operative adhesions) are also significantly reduced. 2. Since ultrasound is emitted beneath the dermis, it provides additional skin elasticity and lifting effects. (As you may know, devices like Ultherapy, Shurink, and Doublo Gold all operate on the principle of ultrasound.)

# Generally, there may be swelling and bruising for about a week after the procedure. It is important to wear a compression garment (face band) and apply cold compresses diligently.

# Two weeks after the procedure, the treated area may feel tight and firm. This is due to the adhesion phenomenon commonly called ‘bio-bond,’ which occurs as fibrous tissue forms to heal the treated area.
