# You can think of buccal fat as the ‘visceral fat’ of the face. No matter how much you diet, it is often the last to go or doesn’t budge at all. It can be easily resolved by removing the buccal fat through a simple intraoral incision.

# Buccal fat exists over a very wide area. We only remove the excess fat located in the cheek area (the lower portion of the fat pad). A major advantage is that it leaves no visible scars since the incision is made inside the mouth.

# ‘LipoSound’ is a device that uses ultrasound to emulsify fat. It liquefies fat particles, which are normally like orange pulp, into a juice-like state.

1. Much smoother – Fat can be squeezed out like water without applying great force, and it can be suctioned using only a small cannula. This results in less irritation, leading to faster recovery from bruising and swelling, and significantly less ‘bio-bond’ (post-operative adhesions).
