Epicanthoplasty Reversal and Incisional Double Eyelid Revision Surgery
A case study of a 20s female patient who underwent epicanthoplasty reversal and incisional double eyelid revision to correct excessive caruncle exposure and loose eyelid lines.

* Basic Information
# Female in her 20s
# Medical History: Natural adhesion (non-incisional) double eyelid surgery, epicanthoplasty
# Current Status & Patient Requests: The eyelid lines have completely loosened, and the epicanthoplasty was overdone, making it look unsightly. I want to restore clear double eyelid lines and make the inner corners look less aggressive.
* Consultation
# Although she had double eyelid surgery in the past, the front part of the lines has become loose and appears buried.
# Since she desired a clear ‘in-out’ line, we planned an incisional double eyelid revision surgery to create a defined crease.
# The previous epicanthoplasty was excessive, leading to overexposure of the red inner flesh (lacrimal caruncle). We planned an epicanthoplasty reversal to create a more natural appearance.
* Surgical Plan
# Incisional Double Eyelid (Revision)
# Epicanthoplasty Reversal

* Post-operative Progress
# A clear ‘in-out’ line that is visible from the inner corner has been achieved.
# Natural-looking eyes were restored through epicanthoplasty reversal. In reversal surgery, it is crucial to accurately calculate the amount to be closed and to design and suture in a way that minimizes scarring.
