Can Forehead and Neck Lifts Really Make This Much of a Difference?
A transformation story of a woman in her 30s who achieved a refreshed look and a sharp jawline through an endoscopic forehead lift and neck muscle tightening.

* Basic Information
# Female in her 30s
# Eyes
- Narrow space between eyebrows and eyes with a bulging appearance
- Had previous double eyelid surgery, but the folds have completely unraveled. Desires large, clear double eyelids!
# Jawline
- Persistent double chin fat that remains despite consistent dieting
- Stressed by a blunt jawline from the side profile, making the neck look short and giving a ‘turtle neck’ appearance
* Consultation
# Eyes
- The patient wanted to improve the narrow space between the eyebrows and eyes, which created a stuffy and harsh impression.
- To address the narrow gap and bulging eyelids, we planned an endoscopic forehead lift. To correct weak eye-opening strength and create a clear line, an incisional ptosis correction was scheduled. Additionally, a ‘Full Mango’ canthoplasty (epicanthoplasty, lateral, and lower canthoplasty) was planned to make the eyes appear larger.
- The forehead and eyes cannot be considered separately. An ideal eye shape is only possible when these two areas are in harmony!

A. Fat
1. Procedures commonly known as ‘Lipo-sound’ liposuction target the subcutaneous fat layer.
2. However, fat also exists beneath the platysma muscle (wide neck muscle), such as subplatysma and interplatysma fat. Since this is deep fat located under the muscle, it can never be reduced through liposuction alone. This is why some people still look bulging or blunt even after liposuction. This fat must be removed by making an incision in the muscle and visualizing it directly!
B. Muscle
1. In some cases, the platysma muscle itself is sagging. This can be congenital or a result of the natural aging process. In such cases, the muscle must be tightened firmly, much like wearing a ‘corset,’ to create a tight line. This procedure is often called ‘double chin muscle tying.’
Since this method has long been used in neck lifts, you can trust its proven effectiveness and safety.
2. Therefore, for a patient like this who has both a significant amount of fat and a jawline that has become blunt with age, ‘double chin muscle tying’ must be performed alongside liposuction to achieve a satisfying neck line.
* Surgical Plan
# Fix-up Eye Correction
- Endoscopic Forehead Lift
- Incisional Ptosis Correction (Revision)
- Mango Canthoplasty (Front, Lateral, and Lower)
# Jawline
- Ultrasonic Liposuction (Lipo-sound)
- Double Chin Muscle Tying (Neck Lift)

* Post-operative Progress
1. What is the first change you notice? Even though the double eyelids look natural, the upper eyelids don’t look bulging at all. This is because the forehead lift secured enough space between the eyebrows and eyes! A very refreshed line has been created.
2. A beautiful forehead is a bonus! The uneven forehead caused by the habit of lifting the brows has improved significantly, gaining a voluminous contour. Simply releasing the muscles that grip the eyebrows tightly can enhance the forehead’s silhouette.
3. The bluntness has disappeared thanks to the double chin muscle tying and jawline liposuction. One of the most significant effects of muscle tying is that it prevents the double chin from folding even when looking down! It’s almost like a ‘Galaxy Flip’ phone folding cleanly. Haha.
